Each year, the program’s Academic Committee evaluates the Research Plan and the Activities Document via the RAPID platform within the deadlines set by the Doctoral School.
This joint evaluation of both aspects (Activities Document and Research Plan) allows supervision of the progress made in the development of the doctoral thesis.
Both the thesis supervisor, who submits a report via RAPID, and the Academic Committee, which issues the final evaluation of the doctoral student’s progress, participate in the evaluation process.
Each academic year, the doctoral student has one ordinary call in June and one extraordinary call in February for evaluation.
Based on the documentation provided, the Academic Committee will issue a positive or negative evaluation of the doctoral student’s progress, considering the Research Plan, the Training Plan (if applicable), the Activities Document, and the supervisor’s and tutor’s reports.
If the Academic Committee identifies significant deficiencies, it may issue a negative evaluation and require the student to submit a new Research Plan to be assessed in the extraordinary February call.
If a second negative evaluation is issued, the student will be permanently withdrawn from the program.
The evaluation will be negative, in any case, if data are not recorded in RAPID and the required report is not submitted for the extraordinary call.
