The recommended path of entry to this doctoral programme is to carry out the Master’s degree in Nanoscience and Molecular Nanotechnology, or any other Master’s degree related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. In case the student has taken a different master’s degree to those indicated, the CAD will be able to establish training complements; in any case, subjects from the above mentioned master’s degree programme.

Specific bridging courses will correspond to subjects from the advanced core of the master’s second year. Specifically, the student will have to take a maximum of 18 credits related to the advanced modules on supramolecular chemistry (4.5 ETCS), molecular electronics (9 ETCS) and molecular nanomagnetism (4.5 ETCS). Each subject’s contents are specified in the master’s degree’s website (www.icmol.es/master/nnm).

These subjects will be taken in intensive courses jointly organised by the Universities participating.

Those students who come from a master’s degree without a researching profile or from a master’s degree which does not resemble Molecular Nanoscience are obliged to take the 24 above mentioned credits. If they come form a master’s degree with researching profile, the credits they will have to take shall be approved by the CAM and will depend on each student’s academic profile. For example, those students coming from a chemistry degree who have taken a master’s degree in the area of Chemistry will have to take the most physical modules (molecular
electronics and molecular nanomagnetism), while a student coming from a physics degree who has taken a Master’s degree in the area of Physics (specialty Solid State or Materials Science) will have to take the most chemical modules (supramolecular chemistry).
