Biography
 

Purificació Mascarell (Xàtiva, 1985) is a professor of Theory of Literature, Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at the UV. Extraordinary Prize for Bachelor's Degree and Doctorate in Hispanic Studies, his research revolves around the theories of reception, gender and canon. In addition to numerous specialized works as a philologist, she has published the play Cavallers (PUV, 2016), the children's book Centre Comercial L'Oblit (Premi Ciutat d'Algemesí - Andana, 2018), the book of stories Cartilla de redención (Altamarea , 2021) and has won the 2022 Lletraferit award with her novel Mireia. He works as a literary critic in the magazines Mercurio, Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos, Clarín and Caràcters. She collaborates with the La Caja Books publishing house and with the Elena Fortún Library of the Renaissance publishing house, where she has edited several books by the creator of Celia.

[Biography, english version]

PhD assistant professor at the University of Valencia. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, where she worked on the BIESES project, in which she still participates, and she was a predoctoral researcher at the University of Girona, where she completed a PhD dissertation about the female poetry in the Early Modern Age (2016), with NISE. LITERATURA CATALANA DE L'EDAT MODERNA. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford and the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Mexico).
