Manuel Asensi Pérez is Professor of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. He has been visiting professor at several universities in the U.S, Latin America and Europe. His fields of expertise are literary theory, the relations between cinema and literature, and the field of Lacanian psychoanalysis. Among his most important books include Theoría de la lectura. For a paradoxical critique (1987), Literary theory and deconstruction (1992), Philippe Sollers, Tel Quel and the genesis of French post-structuralism (2004), Criticism and sabotage (2013), the latter book deserving of several monographs in journals such as Anthropos (2014) and Quaderns de Filologia (2021) and which inaugurated a new critical modality. Purificació Mascarell (Xàtiva, 1985) is a professor of Comparative Literature, Literary Theory and Cultural Studies at the University of Valencia. She investigates the construction of the literary canon from a feminist perspective. Apart from numerous works as a philologist, she has published the novel Mireia (Premi Lletraferit 2022, Drassana; translated into Spanish in Dos Bigotes), the stories of Cartilla de redención (Altamarea, 2021), the children's book Centre comercial l'Oblit (Andana, 2018) and the play Cavallers (Publicacions de la Universitat de València, 2016). She regularly writes in magazines such as Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos , Mercurio or Lletraferit. She has prepared the edition of Elena and her friends.
