Nong-Ru Cheng Lee, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada (2002) and holds a Ph.D in Research in Artistic Creation: Theory, Techniques, and Restoration from the University of Malaga (2011). Currently, he collaborates as an associate professor in the Area of East Asian Studies, affiliated with the Department of Language Theory and Communication Sciences at the University of Valencia, and works as a Chinese language teacher at the Official School of Languages in Valencia-Saïdia (EOI). He collaborates with the research group Estudis d'Àsia i Àfrica GREAA - GIEAA at the University of Valencia since 2023 and also a member of the Spanish Association of East Asian Studies (AEEAO).

His research areas focus on the fields of art and cognitive linguistics, uniquely combining these disciplines. His interdisciplinary approach is reflected in specialized publications that analyze artistic and linguistic expression, visual thinking, and cognitive linguistics. Additionally, he stands out for his research in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, using visual and cognitive linguistic tools to facilitate L2 learning.
