Biography
 

Throughout her professional life, Lola has worked on entrepreneurship both from a professional and academic point of view. On the one hand, she has had her own innovative company, has created and managed several startups associations and has worked as a strategy consultant for entrepreneurs and SMEs. Lola has mentored entrepreneurs since 2004 and still does, in different institutions.

At the academic and research level, she is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia (UV), guest lecturer at other universities and teaches in English and Spanish. She is currently researching sustainable entrepreneurship from 4 perspectives of sustainability: ecological, social, cultural and economic. She is the director of the ROCK-EU Research Group (Research on Opportunities, Capabilities, and Knowledge in Entrepreneurial Universities) and the consolidated teaching innovation group in entrepreneurship and innovation ‘ROCK-ing the brick’. Her doctoral thesis on university entrepreneurship won an award from the Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and another from Valencia City Council for the doctoral thesis with the greatest impact on the city of Valencia.

She has a background in European projects management since 2001. Since 2015 she has managed several European projects on entrepreneurship aimed at tackling the climate emergency within the European initiative EIT Climate KIC. She currently belongs to the European Forthem Alliance, participates in various European projects and leads a cooperation project to promote entrepreneurship in Ethiopia.

Lola is the academic head of UVemprén, the entrepreneurship support area at the UV. She is the responsible for the entrepreneurs mentoring service of the University of Valencia and supports all the active entrepreneurs form different areas of knowledge. She has been the Vice-Dean of Entrepreneurship and Business Relations at the Faculty of Economics.

She is the Vice President for International Relations of AEDEM, the European Academy of Management and Business Economics and the Vice President of ASEDEC+I+A, the Spanish Association for Executive Development in Science + Innovation + Art.

Biography
 

Maria Orero-Blat, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Valencia. She holds a PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de València and a double international degree in International Business from the University of Valencia and Hochschule Bremen (Germany). She has also completed a Master’s Degree in the Creation and Management of Innovative Companies (University of Valencia) and a Master’s Degree in Digital Business (Universitat Politècnica de València).

Her research activity focuses on entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and organizational culture, with a career characterized by strong international projection and participation in competitively funded public research projects. She is a member of the MEYES Research Group at the University of Valencia and the Research Group on Organizational Culture, Capabilities and Knowledge for Value Creation at the University of Seville, actively collaborating with national and international research teams.

She has carried out research and training stays at internationally renowned universities and institutions, including the University of Turin (Italy), Edinburgh Napier University (United Kingdom), Hochschule Bremen (Germany), and the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, gaining extensive experience in international academic mobility.

She maintains a close link with her socio-economic environment and knowledge transfer, participating in international cooperation projects focused on entrepreneurship and digital transformation, as well as in university–industry collaboration initiatives. She is an R&D&I researcher and trainer at the spin-off Minzer®, and actively collaborates in institutional programs promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.

She also performs academic management and leadership roles at the international level, serving as Program Deputy at the ICEM Conference and participating in academic and organizing committees of international scientific events. At the University of Valencia, she serves as Mobility Coordinator for the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA).

Biography
 

Alicia Mas Tur holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Valencia (2007), a master's degree in Business Strategy, and a PhD from the same university (2013).

She has been a professor at the University of Valencia since 2014, where she is currently a full professor. She is co-director of the Master's Degree in Business Strategy. She coordinates the second year of the Business Administration (ADE) degree. Her teaching focuses on subjects related to Strategic Management in the Business Administration (ADE) and International Business(GIB) degrees and in the Master's Degrees in Business Strategy and Tourism Management and Planning at the Faculty of Economics.

Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, specifically in the areas of women entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurship. She is the director of the MEYES Research Group - Women Entrepreneurs and Social Entrepreneurship. She has published numerous articles in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the International Journal of Technology Management, the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Quality & Quantity. She is an associate editor of Service Business. She is also the chair of the annual conference ICEM - International Conference on Entrepreneurial Motivation.

Doctora en Economía del Departamento de Dirección de Empresas por la Universitat de València. Investigación basada en la economía social, emprendimiento social y managment. Ha sido becaria FPI del proyecto “Economia Colaborativa, Economia Social y Bienestar” (DER2015-65519-C2-1-R) financiado por el Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad. He has published extensively in academic journals (Journal of Macroeconomics, Economic Letters, Journal of Policy Modeling, Economic Modelling, Energy Economics, Cliometrica, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, among others).

​His current research focuses on stability of the New Keynesian hybrid Phillips curve, on co-explosivity between nominal house price index and housing credit-to-GDP, on optimal public deficit and tax-smoothing, on credit and economic growth, and on prices and money in the Early Modern Globalization period.

He is a research affiliate of the INTECO UV-UJI joint research unit and Prometeo program grants for research groups of excellence of Generalitat Valenciana.

Federico Ramírez López has an International Doctor in Economics and International Commerce from the University of Valencia. He has been a professor in the Department of Business Finances of the University of Valencia since 2004. 
He has published research articles in prestigious international magazines such as Service Business, or Journal of Business Research. You also have a great name for papers presented at international Congresses. 
He has carried out research studies at the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and at the University of Virginia (USA). This research has focused mainly on behavioral finance, gender diversification, investment project financing and loans to small businesses. 
Use Experiments in Economics to study the financial decisions of economic agents. The latest research efforts study measures to improve the financing of investment projects directed by gifts and facilitate the access of gifts to million workers in competitive environments.

Biography
 

Professor in the Department of Corporate Finance at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia (UV). He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the UV and completed the Pedagogical Adaptation Course (CAP), equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching, at the Complutense University of Madrid. He earned a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Valencia, with a doctoral dissertation entitled “Asset Pricing in the Spanish and European Capital Markets”, awarded Cum Laude.

His research activity focuses on Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance, Board Gender Diversity, and Greenwashing. He leads the EFICO Research Group (Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance and Greenwashing) and is also a member of the infoSOST Research Group (Corporate Information on Sustainability: Preparation and Verification). He has been a visiting researcher at the Centre of Finance & Economics (CEF.UP), University of Porto. He has participated as a speaker at more than forty national and international conferences and has published over thirty articles in prestigious academic journals, the majority of which are indexed in the first quartile of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). These include Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management (First Decile), Business Strategy & Development (Q1), Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society (Q1), Business Ethics, the Environment & Responsibility (Q1), International Business Review (Q1), Journal of Business Research (Q1), Small Business Economics (Q1), European Journal of Finance (Q1), Sustainability – Entrepreneurial Sustainability: New Innovative Knowledge (Q2), Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research (Q2), Quantitative Finance (Q2), and Spanish Journal of Finance & Accounting, among others. He has received seven research awards from institutions such as the European Academy of Management and Business Economics, the International Conference on Gender Studies and Culture of Gender, the Association of Young Researchers in Economics and Business Management, the International Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education, and the Ibero-American Association of Management Control.

He serves as President of the International Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (CISMES), and is a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Business Strategy & Development (Q1, JCR) and serves on the scientific committees of several international finance conferences.

In the area of teaching, he lectures in Finance within the Bachelor’s Degree programmes in Business Intelligence and Analytics, as well as in the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and Law, and in the Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance and the Master’s Degree in Business Management (MBA). He has published more than forty teaching-related papers, presented over thirty contributions at teaching conferences, and participated in seventeen educational innovation projects. He directs the Consolidated Educational Innovation Group GINFICO (Corporate Finance Innovation Group). He is the author of two teaching manuals and several book chapters—many published by Q1 publishers according to the Scholarly Publishers Indicators (SPI)—and has received the Fernando Sapiña Award, as well as the award for Best Teaching Innovation Paper at the International Conference on Innovation, Documentation and Education. His teaching performance has been evaluated as Excellent by the DOCENTIA Teaching Quality Programme, achieving the highest possible rating.

Additionally, he has participated in research contracts with the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE) and within the R&D&I Programme of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities (GVA). He has also taken part in numerous competitive research projects, including several knowledge transfer projects funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) under the programmes “Complementary Actions to Promote and Strengthen Innovation” and “Valorisation and Transfer of Research Results to Companies”.

Biography
 

Dr. Irene Comeig has recently been appointed a research fellow at Harvard University (USA), at the Harvard Kennedy School in the Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP), and a member of the Veconlab at the University of Virginia (USA). She is an Associate Professor of Finance (with tenure) at the University of Valencia (Spain) and taught Corporate Finance as a Visiting Professor at the University of Virginia (USA), Department of Economics, from 2012 to 2015. She has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Lausanne (Fall 2022) and at the University of Geneva (November 2007-October 2010). Her PhD Thesis obtained the Young Research Award in Economics from the General Foundation of the Complutense University of Madrid, and the Victor Mendoza Award for PhD Theses (1st accésit) from the Institute of Economic Studies (IEE, Spain).

Her main areas of research interest include Behavioral Finance, Experimental Economics, SME Finance and Risk Attitudes. She uses Economics Experiments to analyze behavior and financial decisions of economic agents under risk and ambiguity. Her recent work studies measures that improve the financing of entrepreneurial projects led by women and the integration of women in competitive environments such as science, industry or politics.

Dr. Irene Comeig has served in editorial roles at Journal of Economics and Finance (current Editorial Board Member), Journal of Business ResearchEuropean Journal of Management and Business Economics, and Retos, Revista de Ciencias de Administración y Economía (current Editorial Board Member), and, for more than seven years, has held administrative positions such as Director of the Official Master in Corporate Finance. She has supervised 4 PhD dissertations (one with the Prize for best doctorate student) and more than 20 Master Thesis, and participated in more than 100 international and Spanish conferences. She has participated in 18 research projects, being the Principal Researcher of the INNACC00/2020/40 and INNACC00/19/054 projects funded by the Government of the Generalitat Valenciana.
