
Professor Rosalía Delgado Girón gives her lecture ‘Are nouns lonely words? Reflections on working with noun phrases in 1st ESO.’
On 23 and 24 November 2023, professor Rosalía Delgado gave the lecture ‘Are nouns lonely words? Reflections on working with noun phrases in 1st ESO’ in the two groups of Spanish Language and Literature of the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training of the UV.
Professor Delgado showed the Master’s students an inductive approach to grammar teaching using data from a classroom intervention of her own design. She focused on the students’ metalinguistic reflection and on the relationship between grammar and language use.
Rosalía Delgado Girón is the coordinator of the Secondary Language and Literature team at the Education Science Institute (ICE) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where she also teaches in-service training courses. Author of numerous articles, she teaches Spanish Language and Literature at the Manuel Vázquez Montalbán Secondary School in Sant Adrià de Besós (Barcelona). She is also a lecturer of the Master’s Degree in Teaching in Secondary Schools of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University.
