We think that any university student is aware of this issue, anyway, we remind you that the use of information follows a perfectly regulated standards, which protect at all times the intellectual property of authors. Plagiarism is a crime and as a such will be considered in this MDPT, either in the projects that students have to develop in the modules, as in the TFM, in which plagiarism detection will automatically imply the cancellation of the defence of the project, without derogation of any other legal action that should be taken. The origin of information, not only exact words, but also the use of ideas, tables, graphs, images, illustrations, and in general other’s people data, should be perfectly identified in the text, at the time that this appears, and later in the bibliography.

We recommend you for learning more about plagiarism and how to use the bibliographical sources to review the tutorials offered in the website of the Gregory Mayans Science Library. Another university library that offers information about plagiarism is the Pompeu Fabra University. In this library you can also find an interesting tutorial about how to develop an academic paper that includes, in the section 8, the different models of quotation. The Complutense University of Madrid also has a tutorial about the development of academic papers, with the corresponding section of quotations, like the University Carlos III of Madrid, to name just a few.

The TFMs will be used by the University only in the framework of their development and assessment.
