Ademuz Espai d'Art Hall. Opening 5 February at 19:30.
The solo exhibition by Myriam Jiménez Huertas, coordinated by the University of Valencia's Contemporary Valencian Art Documentation Centre, will be held in the Ademuz Espacio de Arte hall (AEA). It is the fourth of the six exhibitions for the promotion of Valencian contemporary art created by the latest generations of artists, and it has been programmed thanks to the collaboration links between the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia (Saint Charles Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Valencia) and Ámbito Cultural del Corte Inglés.
Myriam's work shows us contemporary ceramics, stripped of social and cultural ties. In this disciplinary and creative context, the author's work emerges with her minimalist, geometric and white pieces, which have interesting interferences between the three-dimensionality of sculpture and the habitability of architecture. Like minimalism, its parts draw their significance from the minimum, simplifying the elements used, appealing to a simple language based on white and simple lines. These architectural recreations have to do with the concept of home, the place where we live, think, love...the most intimate space of our existence. But these semi-enclosed spaces are also places that contain time and memories.
ScheduleFrom 5 february 2014 to 28 february 2014. Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday at 09:00 to 21:00.
