The University of Valencia, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation and the Ajuntament de Catarroja, organises the joint conference by the Universitat de València and the Ajuntament de Catarroja in order to raise awareness of issues very representative of the local society and Albufera Natural Park. The conference will cover the history of Catarroja from Roman times to the medieval and modern times, in addition to its artistic treasures. It will also deal with topics about the Albufera, such as rice cultivation, water quality, bird migration, landscape and vegetation.

This conference is part of the collaboration between the University of Valencia and the Ajuntament de Catarroja, which aims to project the potential of the research community on its area of influence, to offer citizens training and delight with these activities and to influence the possibilities of local development through the knowledge of their capabilities.

The conference is open to researchers, students, cultural associations and the general public.

Two sessions every afternoon: 17:30 h. and 19:00.
