Degree in Nursing

Entrance requirements:

Without prejudice to other admission options stipulated by applicable law, to be admitted to the Degree in Podiatry candidates must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a Spanish upper secondary education certificate (batxillerat) or equivalent qualification and obtain a pass mark in the examinations referred to in Article 42 of Organic Law 6/2001 on Universities, modified by Organic Law 4/2007, of 12 April, implemented by Royal Decree 1892/2008, of 14 November, regulating the conditions for admission to official university bachelor’s degree courses and the selection procedures by which students are admitted to Spanish public universities.
  • Hold a Spanish advanced level vocational qualification (cicle formatiu de grau superior) or equivalent qualification according to applicable legislation.
  • Pass the corresponding entrance examination for students aged over 25, 40 or 45.
  • Hold an official university qualification valid throughout Spain.
  • Hold a university diploma in Podiatry issued under the previous Spanish university system. In this case, students are admitted to a curriculum pathway leading to the award of this Degree. Admission will be based on the applicants’ academic record and CV.

Recommended academic profile

The recommended academic profiles for admission to the Degree in Nursing are:

Applicants who have taken Spanish university entrance examinations:

  • Batxillerat in Health Sciences, having completed the optional subjects Mathematics II, Physics.
  • Batxillerat in Science and Technology, having completed the optional subjects Biology and Chemistry.

Holders of a cicle formatiu de grau superior or their equivalents according to applicable legislation:

  • Studies related to Health Sciences

Applicants aged over 25 who take the corresponding entrance examination:

  • Option in Health Sciences

Holders of an official university qualification valid throughout Spain:

  • Qualification in the area of Health Sciences or Sciences

In addition to the academic profiles of access to the University, the students who aspire to access to the degree studies will must have reached a solid training in Social, Natural and Health Sciences, must have some personal aptitudes for caring, with a predisposition for helping and for the interrelationship with people and with the social institutions.

  • They must show work capacity, ability to self-control and to self-observation that allow them to face stress situations. Willingness to the observation, the analysis and the critical reflection.
  • They will have abilities to the spoken and written language, a high understanding of analysis and meaning of verbal and written instructions and a good psychomotor coordination.
  • They will (must) know to adapt to changing environments showing motivation and initiative, always respecting the rights, values, habits and beliefs of people and groups with which they interact.

Degree in Podiatry

  • Batxillerat in Health Sciences, having completed the optional subjects Mathematics II, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. These subjects will be multiplied by a weighting value of 0.2 in the 2016-2017 enrolment period. Earth and Environmental Sciences will be multiplied by a weighting value of 0.1, according to the SeDi.
  • Batxillerat in Science and Technology, having completed the optional subjects Biology and Chemistry.

Holders of a cicle formatiu de grau superior or their equivalents according to applicable legislation:

  • Studies related to Health Sciences

Applicants aged over 25 who take the corresponding entrance examination:

  • Option in Health Sciences

Holders of an official university qualification valid throughout Spain:

  • Qualification in the area of Health Sciences or Sciences

The personal characteristics recommended for prospective students of the Degree in Podiatry are:
