The Winter University of Ontinyent (UHO) is a meeting point for professors, professionals, students and citizens of the region of La Vall d’ Albaida and its capital for one week. These are training courses, of different disciplines, which are taught freely, given that they follow the “universal training” principle.

On this occasion four courses have been created, in which the Dean Teams of the Faculties of Economics, Teacher Training and Physical Activity Sciences and Sports, and also History have collaborated.

The Winter University is other academic action of the Ontinyent Campus. The Universitat de València, faithful to its commitment to the Valencian territory and society promotes this new initiative linked to training, and to the search and transfer of knowledge: the three goals which distinguishes it. In this occasion, in La Vall d’Albaida.

These cycle of conferences strengthen and institutionalise the relationship -started on 2011-between the UV and the city of Ontinyent and its region, through a training offer that complements the undergraduate degrees taught at the university headquarters. These actions are addressed to students, professors, researchers, members of the regional studies centres, associations and to the public in general.
