In Chinese chi kung means ‘energy control’. It is carried out on ‘slow camera’, relaxed and soft movements which improve breathing, coordination, concentration and muscular flexibility. It strengthens the body and relaxes the mind. Chi kung is also practised as an exercise to delay ageing, and as an aid in the treatment of breathing, digestive, articular and hormonal injuries, among others.
