The Universitat de València has been proclaimed champion of the autonomic Championship of golf after winning the gold yesterday in the team competition. The triumph over the rest of the valencian universities leads the way again to the UV for the Spanish University Championship.
The UV repeats in the first place and after it has been classified in the second position the Universitat Politècnica de València and in the third place the Católica.
The recruiter José Campos has recognised that this year Championship had “some difficulty” because the level of the competition has been “high” in all the universities.
In the female category, the golfer of the Universitat de València María Amparo Baixauli has win the gold while her male counterpart, José María Fuster, has won the silver medal in the autonomic. In this case, the championship was decided “by tie-break”, as Campos pointed out, because the compete was “very balanced” during the rounds.
