The Universitat de València succeeded a remarkable 2nd position by teams in the Spanish University Championship (CEU) of Triathlon 2025, celebrated on 18 May in the Parque Central de Tres Cantos, Madrid. The competition, organised in an ideal environment for the practise of triathlon, reunited students from all Spain to dispute an intense sport workshop.

With a total of eight athletes and seven of them who completed the challenge, the UV team achieved a joint time of 04:08:01, that made them win in the national runner-up by teams.

The workshop started at 10:00am with the female trial, in which many representatives from the Universitat de València competed. Sara Moreno González was the best classified of the team, crossing the finish line in eighth position with a time of 01:06:12. Alejandra Del Val Donderis, who finished 12st position with 01:07:33, and Silvia Simarro Pascual, in 19th position with a time of 01:13:34. Neus Fuster had to withdraw from the bike trial due to physical problems. 

At 11:30am began the masculine trial, were Daniel Tolosa Aguelo was remarkable, he almost got into the podium with an excellent 4th position and a time of 00:55:54. The masculine trial was completed with Óscar Espinosa Cebrián (16th, 00:58:21), Arnau Rosaleny Aznar (18th, 00:58:53) and Joan Salvador Badenes (33.º, 01:02:24), reinforcing the presence of the team in a high level competition.

The delivery of trophies had place at 1:00pm, in an environment of celebration and recognition of effort by the athletic students.

A part from triathlon, the Universitat de València participated in the orientation discipline, reaffirming their compromise with diverse and active participation in Spanish University Championships 2025. This multidisciplinary presence demonstrates the impulse that the UV gives to university sport and to the integral development of their students.
