When will the 6th Conference take place?

The VI 6th Conference on Digital Gender Equality - Digitalisation with Gender Perspective in Natural Disaster Management will take place on 25 September 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

In person and online

The event will be located at 'Joan Pelechano' Room of the Universitat de València Superior Technical School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) and streamed live on the Chair YouTube channel (at 10:30 a.m.).

Programme

The conference will consist of a presentation by the Head of the Chair, Carmen Botella Mascarell, with the results of previous editions, and sessions in charge of:

La jornada constará de una presentación por parte de la directora de la Cátedra, Carmen Botella Mascarell, de los resultados obtenidos en 2024, y unas conferencias invitadas a cargo de:

• Begoña Vitoriano Villanueva, Complutense University of Madrid Department of Statistics and Operative Research and Interdisciplinary Math Institute (IMI) professor. Coordinator of the research group 'Decision Model in Disaster Logistics and Management (Humanitarian Logistics)'.
• Nuria Lloret Romero, Politechnical University of València full-time professor in Electronic Administration. Spanish Goverment Assistant in the Reconstruction Commission of the DANA as expert in artificial intelligence and emergent technology application in reconstruction.

Programme: Colloquim session

The conference will end with a colloquim named 'Digitalisation with gender perspective in natural disaster management'. Moderated by Chair member Silvia Rueda Pascual, with the participation of Begoña Villanueva and Nuria Lloret, along with experts:

• Maria Sanchis Valero: IT engineer by Politechnical University of València and Coordinator of Innovation and New Technologies in Paiporta City Hall.
• Bárbara López Ramón: Graduate in Law by Universitat de València and head of Institutional Affairs of Committees in the Spanish Governement Reconstruction.
• Patricia Peris Remón: Expert psychologist in women attention programmes and doctor in Criminal, Politics and Criminology Sciences by Universitat de València.

Digital Gender Gap in the Valencian Community

Aiming to reduce differences in access, education and labour with information and communication technologies between men and women, the UV-GVA Chair of Digital Gender Gap organises this conference yearly to raise awarness of he Digital Gender Gap in the Valencian Community to analyse the challenges and close the gap.
