Sergio Belda Miquel is PhD in Local Development and International Cooperation (PhD Extraordinaru Award and international PhD mencion). MSc in International Development, Degree in Social Work and Degree in Architecture.

Is assistant professor at the Department of Social Work and Social Services, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of València. Previously, he has been assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics of the same University, lecturer at the Universitat Politècnica de València and researcher at the Institute on Innovation Management - INGENIO (CSIC-Universitat Politècnica de València)

His areas of specialization are: global development and international cooperation; transformative learning; transitions to sustainability; community participation and social innovation; social welfare.

In these areas he has published numerous articles, book chapters and books. He has participated in regional, national and international (H2020, Erasmus +) research projects. He has coordinated and participated in numerous consultancy and research contracts with public administrations such as the Valencian Solidarity Fund, the Valencia City Council and the Valencian regional Government (for example, analysis of cooperation policies or development education strategies). He periodically carries out outreach activities in collaboration with social organizations and public institutions.

He develops innovation and coordination activities in teaching (coordination of innovation projects and coordination of undergraduate courses, among others).

He has carried out research stays at the University of Oslo (Norway), the University of Sussex (Brighton, United Kingdom) and the Universitat Javeriana of Bogotá (Colombia).

He is Head of Sustainability Initiatives at the Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Living at the University of Valencia.

He is Co-Chair of Cooperation and Sustainble Development at the University of Valencia.

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Services. She graduated in Social Work and Master in Gender and Equality Policies from the University of Valencia. I am an International Doctor in Gender Studies and Equality Policies with a doctoral thesis on embodied experiences of fatness from a feminist and interdisciplinary approach.

From October 2016 to January 2021, she was part of the UV's Institut Universitari d'Estudis de les Dones, working as a Predoctoral Researcher thanks to a Training Grant for University Professors from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. < /p>

My research interests revolve around stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination towards fat people (fatphobia or fat stigma); anti-oppressive social work; the sociology of the body; health with a gender perspective; care in the family environment, and cinema as a learning tool. Likewise, I introduce methodological procedures of incipient use in the field of social sciences, such as qualitative techniques: critical analysis of Foucauldian discourse from a feminist perspective, autoethnography and life stories.

I have published scientific articles in magazines such as Azarbe. International Journal of Social Work and Welfare; Quaderns de Ciències Socials, Athenea Digital and Cuadernos de Trabajo Socia. Also, chapters in books from Tirant Humanidades and Icaria publishing houses, in which I have also co-coordinated the book Sociological views of gender. A sociology without barriers, locks or bolts. I have presented communications to several national and international conferences.

I have obtained several awards for my research activity, such as: the Jane Addams, for the best final degree project for incorporating the gender perspective; the Olga Quiñones, for the best master's thesis, and the FirstAward of the First Edition of Article Writing of the Official College of Social Work of Valencia (COTSV).

I was born in Jersey and have lived in Bradford, London, Barcelona and Valencia. I spend most of my time with my partner and our two dogs. I like to take care of my plants, read, play with my nephews, listen to the radio, ride my bike and bake bread.

José Vicente Pérez Cosín (1958), social worker, doctor and graduate in sociology, diploma in local development and master's degree in social services management. Full professor at the University of Valencia. He has been director of the Department of Social Work and Social Services (2011-2017). He has been director of the Interuniversity Institute of Local Development since 2022. Teaching in two degrees: social work (research, diagnosis and evaluation; Community Social Services; Childhood and Adolescence) and nursing (health and social work) and in five postgraduate degrees: social welfare: family intervention; socio-health care for the dependent; territory and environment and local development planning; in this last master's degree he was its director (2011-2013). His research experience focuses on the analysis of public policies in welfare systems (Childhood and adolescence, Community Development, Active Ageing, etc...). He is a senior researcher in the area of social cohesion at the Interuniversity Institute for Local Development of the University of Valencia (he is the principal researcher of the Community Social Services SOCIAL-COM group); directs doctoral theses in the programs: "Local Development and International Cooperation" and "Social Sciences". Competitive European R + D + I projects and research contracts. Expert evaluator of the National Assessment and Prospective Agency and the Andalusian Science Agency. Scientific articles in national and international journals of impact, registered in prestigious institutions such as: ISI-Thomson Reuters, Scopus, Latindex, Redalyc, In-Res, DICE-Cindoc. Books and book chapters in publishing houses of excellence such as Thomson-Reuters Aranzadi, Tirant lo Blanc, Lumen-Humanitas, PUV of the University of Valencia; and prestigious as Nau Llibres.Expert evaluator in scientific journals in the area of social work and social services, local development and nursing. He was Vice-President of the first international congress of the social work area. And he regularly forms part of doctoral theses panels at Spanish universities.

He has directed and defended, to date with the highest qualification, twelve doctoral theses. He has trained predoctoral researchers with public funding from national (FPU) and regional predoctoral programs (Val R + D). Awarded by the Generalitat Valenciana (AVAP) with the first prize for prospective research. Positive evaluation of your research accredited by the National Research Evaluation Commission. Vice-president of the Conference of Directors and Deans of the Social Work and Social Services area of Spanish Universities (2013-2017).

PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Valencia, she is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Services. She is a researcher at the University Institute of Local Development attached to the INNODES Research Group. She teaches Social Projects in the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Social Work Internships. In the Inter-University Master's Degree in Development Cooperation, she teaches Methods, Techniques and Instruments for Local Development and Initiation to Research. She is the Director of the Specialisation Diploma in Evaluation and Management of International Development Cooperation Projects. Her main areas of research at national and international level (European Union) focus on:
