The CECT collaborates with the German collection DSZM and the Dutch collection CBS .

The CECT, as part of the MIRRI-ERIC infrastructure and within the framework of the Bioindustry4.0 project of the EU's Horizon Europe program, collaborates with the German collection DSZM and the Dutch collection CBS in the development and establishment of a technical infrastructure and a new data standard that will facilitate the systematic exchange of microbial strain information. It is an open system that will allow the incorporation of data contributions by researchers. During the project, cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, and Cloud Computing Resources will be used to expand the boundaries of bioprocess design and control, making these developments faster, more economical, and sustainable.
