What MMedia is?

It is a server of the Universitat de València that allows including all multimedia services they want to publish (videos, sound files, photos, etc.) and that can give support to teaching or as a complement to tasks carried out in the UV. 

This server allows to any person of the educational community (PDI, PAS, students) placing multimedia material in the streaming server and sharing these contents with whom requested. Mmedia is similar to the wide known “Youtube”, but with the advantages of being an own service (space management, content assessments, authentication, data protection, etc.).

Video files, sound files, photos and other files related with multimedia can be placed.

It allows the broadcast of video events on live through internet.

Videos and multimedia files management are done through an intuitive interface, accessible through the Aula Virtual platform, or through MMedia. Users can sent their Mmedia video, making it available for displaying it through Internet in some minutes.

Of course, configuration settings for displaying the content can be stablished, it can be public or private, can require a password for watching it, allowing the addition of metadata for appearing in search engines, etc.

Mmedia also makes the conversion -if necessary- of our audio and video to MP4 format by pressing a button, for broadcasting the contents with the highest quality as possible at high speed, making contents to be displayed without problems for the connections that are not quick enough.
