The Auditorium of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía hosted the graduation ceremony for the 2022-2026 cohort of the Degree in Psychology at the Universitat de València on 11 July. The event brought together students, families, teaching staff and institutional representatives to celebrate the completion of a particularly significant academic stage.
The ceremony included the participation of the cohort representatives Borja Smeyers and Héctor Lara, as well as the cohort sponsor, Professor Raúl Espert, and Professor Selene Valero. Vicenta Esteve Biot, secretary of the Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de la Comunitat Valenciana, also took part, offering students a professional perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the psychology profession.
One of the most moving moments of the afternoon was the awarding of academic sashes to the graduates, accompanied by academic representatives of the Faculty, the Professional Association and the management team of the centre.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, Antonio Ferrer, congratulated the cohort on the effort made throughout their studies and highlighted the responsibility assumed by those joining a discipline committed to the scientific understanding of human behaviour and to improving the psychological wellbeing of individuals and society. The ceremony was closed, on behalf of the Rector of the Universitat de València, by Professor José María Montiel, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer.
The Faculty wishes to congratulate all graduates of the 2022-2026 cohort and to thank their families, the teaching staff and university personnel for their contribution to the success of this formative stage.
