 https://miriadax.net/es/web/historia-de-la-ciencia-introduccion-general-curso-2-edicion

It is an online course in Spanish language organized in ten sessions and offering a general introduction to the history of science, technology and medicine. Each session consists of 5 videos of about 5 minutes. A chronological narrative has been adopted along with a thematic organization. Each session addresses a historical period from the perspective offered by a selected group of spaces, historical actors and objects. Moving away from old-fashioned history of ideas and great geniuses, the historical journey offers a review to the different ways of knowing and doing in order to grasp historically the social and cultural practices associated with science, medicine and technology.

Students will explore new biographies, objects and spaces in order to explore history of science, technology and medicine in tune with new trends in academic research. In addition to the videos, the course includes syllabus and self-assessment tests as well as personal electronic support. The teaching staff who has organized the course is: Carmel Ferragud (IILP), José Pardo Tomás (Milà i Fontanals, CSIC, Barcelona), Antonio García Belmar (Universitat d’Alacant), José Ramón Bertomeu (IILP), María José Báguena (IILP, Ximo Guillem (IILP), Josep L. Barona (IILP), Pedro Ruiz Castell (IILP).

The first online course took place during June and July 2019 with the participation of around a thousand students, more than a third passed the exams and obtained their diploma in mid-July. Around 46% were students living in Spain, the other major group in Latin America (Mexico (11%), Peru (7%), Argentina and Colombia) and also students from UK, USA, Russia, Italy, etc. The evaluations have been very positive and, therefore, we have opened the free registration for this second course, which is going to be opened on April 27, 2020:    https://miriadax.net/es/web/historia-de-la-ciencia-introduccion-general-curso-2-edicion
