Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, participated in the first of the Webinars organised by ANASEVI (National Alliance for Road Safety) entitled "Sustainable mobility and road safety for all in Mexico in 2030", which was held on 2 February 2021.

Mexico faces enormous challenges during this "Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030", proclaimed by the United Nations in August 2020. Halving the number of road traffic deaths, wounded and injured, and improving mobility throughout the country will require not only political will, but also technical knowledge, long-term vision, strategic alliances and perseverance.

ANASEVI has organised a series of dialogues with Mexican and Latin American leaders to share their experiences and contribute to strengthening critical thinking around the design of laws and regulations that, due to their strategic nature, will regulate mobility in Mexico for the coming decades.

On this occasion, Dr. Alonso has contributed with the paper "International commentary on opportunities in the new General Law on Mobility and Road Safety".
