Attendance of the Director of INTRAS, Dr Francisco Alonso, at the act of taking possession of Lieutenant Colonel Francisco Javier Sánchez-Ferragut Andreu, as the new Head of Sector for Traffic of the Guardia Civil of Valencia, held at the Cantarranas Quartering in Valencia.

The ceremony was also attended by the government delegate in Valencia, Serafín Castellano, Major General Chief of the Traffic Group of the Guardia Civil, Benito Salcedo and chief Brigadier General in the Area of the Guardia Civil in the Community, Fernando Santafé, as well as many other authorities.

In his speech, Sanchez-Ferragut who has pledged to work for “the highways to be safer”, stressing the importance of “aspiring to make roads safer and that an accident will not happen again” and has argued that, if the work is guided by this idea, “the downward trend of road accidents that began ten years ago in Spain will continue”.
