On 7 April 2022, Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, attended the defence of the PhD Thesis "The potential of elastic bands to optimize ocular and cardiovascular responses, subjective effort, and performance in squats" defended by Javier Gené Morales.

The thesis belongs to the Doctoral Programme in Physiology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia and has been directed by Dr. M. del Rosario Salvador Palmer, Dr. Juan Carlos Colado Sánchez and Dr. Andrés Gené Sampedro.
