
This conference will take place on 30 May 2025 at the assemble hall of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Theraphy.
The Conference on socio-educational mentoring for adolescents and young people has been organised by the Youth Chair UV and the IVAJ with the objective of delve on how we can teach adolescents and young people media and information literacy for critical thinking (MIL CT) through a socio-educational model.
Media and Information Literacy for Critical Thinking (MIL-CT), is one of the most powerful tools we have to teach young people (and adults) how to navigate safely through an ocan of massive amounts of information and often misleading. It includes media literacy, which highligts the capability to analyse, evaluate and produce media content; information literacy, to search, evaluate and use information responsibly as well as verify data and chose reliable sources and finally, critical thinking, the ability to analyse and objectively reflect on things, identify biases, logical fallacies or misinformation. This tools are already being used globally.
