During the year 2025, members of the Youth Chair UV take part in different programmes, conferences, meetings and spaces for reflection in relation with youth. This participations enable to share knowledge, present work lines and develop dialogue between professionals, institutions and companies, strengthening the connection between research, socio-educational intervention and public polices.
Student Mentorship Programme “Entreiguals”
- The Youth Chair takes part in the ‘Entreiguals’ Mentoring Programme by Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes of the Universitat de València. This initiative aims to support new students in the process of adapting to university life, through a peer support and guidance network. The participation in this programme reinforces the Chair’s commitment to new models of accompaniment based on proximity and bonds.
Infòrum 2024
- The Chair’s team is part of Infòrum, an annual gathering of professionals of youth organised by IVAJ. This edition, initially planned for November 2024 and postponed due to the DANA, is held on 26 and 27 February 2025. During two days, experts on youth from all the country will share challenges, experiences and work lines, creating a continuous training and exchange space which consolidates itself as an important date.
Presentation of the report ‘Adolescentes en crisis: impactos de la DANA
- The Youth Chair attends the presentation of the report ‘Adolescentes en crisis: impactos de la DANA’, promoted by Plan International, a study which focuses specifically on the impact that the DANA had on youth. The study collects data obtained through surveys, interviews and focus groups with more than 2.070 young people between age 12 and 21 from Albal, Alfafar, Benetússer, Catarroja, Massanassa, Paiporta, Picanya and La Torre.
The ceremony, held at La Rambleta (Valencia) focuses on the impact DANA had on education, emotional well-being and the communitarian reconstruction processes. It highlights the need for socio-educational and communitarian responses adapted to emergency and post-emergency situations.
Panel discussion: “La juventud ante la DANA: ¿y ahora qué?” – Paiporta
- The Chair takes part in the presentation and discussion session organised in Paiporta. It focuses on the analysis of the role of youth during the post-DANA reconstruction. It gathers youth, community groups and municipal representatives to deliberate on emotional support strategies, territorial cohesion and active involvement in contexts of climate and social impact
