This exhibition aims to show all that has been driven around arts in the educational world.

Opening on 6 October 2015 at 12:30 The initiative arises from the answer to the fragile situation of arts education within the educational system. The need of learning arts at the different levels of compulsory learning should be defended. The Picasso’s Guernika filled of arguments and murals the 80s and represented the democracy in the following years of the Franco dictatorship. The work done since then is a lot, although a continuous loss of the presence of visual arts in the curriculums is being observed. It seems imprudent to locate the training of young people only in the few centres that offer artistic secondary education, as this means to leave other citizens without training in visual culture. Other argument that encourages this exhibition is the educational offer of the UV, which includes since five years ago the training of the teaching staff in Drawing in the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching, a numerous specialisation within the Master’s Degree. These students deserve our solidarity, as we are preparing professionals who will be the responsible of generating interest for art and culture between young generations. Artistic education can become a driving force for social change.
