Arsmaya takes part in the 30th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeology

The Arsmaya Research Group presented the poster ‘Women, Art and Antiquity. Breaking Clichés through Archaeological Research’ at the 30th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeology, held in Rome from the 28 to the 31 August 2024.

Furthermore, multiple Arsmaya researchers have presented their conferences:

In addition, Arsmaya group members have coordinated sessions together with colleagues from other institutions:

  • Current Research in the Americas. Interdisciplinary Research between Past and Present (Maria Torras Freixa, Alessandra Pecci, Arianna Campiani and Cristina Vidal Lorenzo).
  • Gender and Economies in Transition in the 1st Millennium BC Mediterranean (Giulia Saltini Semerari, Meritxell Ferrer, Mireia López-Bertran, Mireia and Octavio Torres Gomariz).

The event has been organised by the Department of Ancient World Studies of the Sapienza University of Rome, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Rome City Council and the Lacio Region. It also had the support of the public universities of Rome and Lazio, the National Research Council, foreign academies and professional organisations.
