These images recreate the construction process of a common house, a Maya hut from the pre-Hispanic era. To produce the different scenes, we took inspiration from the archaeological data as well as from the ethnographic documentation and the observation of contemporary practices. Our protagonist is Sak Nikté, a young woman involved in the constructive process of her home. Throughout said process, she carries out different tasks that range from the gathering of materials to the later celebration of dedicated rituals.
