Under the motto "Culture and Creation in Medium and Small Towns", organized in LAVA Valladolid from 17 to 19 October, the IX Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadanía takes place, in which themes around culture are addressed in the cities. In this forum, Econcult's collaborator, Chema Segovia, has participated in the Round Table as an expert on urban policies.

In the city of Valladolid, specifically in the space LAVA - Laboratorio de las Artes de Valladolid, the IX Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadanía was celebrated between 17 and 19 October. Throughout these conferences, the role of culture in the intermediate cities and territories, its role as nodes of an increasingly decentralised cultural sector, as well as the importance of culture for the (re)construction of identities and the social and territorial, urban and rural cohesion in these spaces and the transformative role that the most emerging actors and young people are acquiring as a political, social and cultural subject(s), were analysed, as well as a debate was generated on the importance of the networks of work in the sector and the idea of culture as an ecosystem interlinked with a European dimension.

Chema Segovia participated on Wednesday 18 October as one of the speakers of the Round Table "Strategies and Cultural Policies for Intermediate Cities and Territories. Pasat-present-futur: the reflection from the local entities". Chema Segovia participated as an expert in urban politics and gave his experience of Strategic Plans of Culture and offered his vision of the cultural ecosystem, highlighting the need for research to advance the cultural applied to the territory and the re-emergence of the interconnections generated between the involved actors.
