European project STEAM Gender equality

Maja Barac, representing Econcult (Universitat de València), and Guillem Bacete, representing Culturalink, participated on 5–6 February 2026 in the third Transnational Project Meeting of the European project CUL.T. – Culture & Technology, held at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The meeting, which brought together eight partner organisations from five European countries, enabled the consortium to review the project’s progress and coordinate the next steps in a decisive stage: the transition from design to the piloting phase. During the working sessions, partners addressed curriculum development, upcoming mobility activities, and the organisation of the piloting process, aimed at turning conceptual approaches into tangible impact within higher education institutions.

Main outputs reviewed:
  • Eight Micro-Learning Pills designed for selective and flexible learning.
  • A Gamified Scenario allowing users to make choices that influence the learning narrative.
  • An Art-Inspired Teaching Manual integrating art-based coaching methodologies into technology education.

The project is grounded in a shared vision that understands the digital not only as technology, but as a driver of cultural growth, critical awareness, and opportunity. In this context, CUL.T. promotes greater involvement of girls and young women in computer science and fosters confidence in the digital environment as a space for creation, leadership, and innovation. Its objective is to open pathways for women from humanities and social sciences into STEAM education by adopting a STEAM approach within European higher education institutions of a technical-technological nature.

Partners also coordinated dissemination strategies to extend the project’s reach to educators, institutions, and learners across Europe. In this context, a transnational mobility will take place in Valencia from 21 to 24 April for the evaluation of the Handbook, within the framework of the project’s piloting phase.
