On Wednesday, November 20, the director of Econcult, Pau Rausell Köster, and the coordinator of the Cultural Observatory of the University of Valencia, Raúl Abeledo, met with the Minister of Culture and Sports, Ernest Urtasun, and the Secretary of State for Culture, Jordi Martí, at the headquarters of the Spanish Government Delegation in the Valencian Community.
The meeting was part of the Minister’s visit to Valencia to follow up on the Cultural Reconstruction Plan for Valencia, launched by the Ministry of Culture in response to the devastating effects of the DANA storm. During the discussion, the importance of integrating culture as a key element for reconstruction, territorial resilience, and social cohesion in the face of climate challenges was highlighted.
Pau Rausell and Raúl Abeledo presented initiatives developed by Econcult and the Cultural Observatory, emphasizing the strategic role of cultural policies in innovation, sustainable development, and effective responses to climate emergencies.
