Next Thursday, the director of the Econcult research group at the University of Valencia, Pau Rausell, will take part in the act of constitution of the Valencian Culture Platform, as part of the "Escoltem la Cultura" conference that will take place in October at the Center for Contemporary Culture.

This platform was created as a space for meeting and dialogue for the entire Valencian cultural sector, with the aim of articulating a common voice and influencing public policies that affect this area. The initiative seeks to position culture as a fundamental axis for the social and economic development of our territory.

In his intervention, Rausell will highlight the need to move towards a cultural management model based on data and knowledge, which allows informed decisions to be made and the real impact of cultural policies to be assessed. The director of Econcult will insist on the importance of overcoming seasonality in the financing of the sector and of integrating culture in a transversal way in all territorial development strategies.

The conference will bring together representatives from different areas of the Valencian cultural sector, from creators and cultural managers to political and academic leaders. The program includes round tables and debate spaces where key issues such as the sustainability of the sector, citizen participation in cultural policies and the international projection of Valencian culture will be discussed.

This meeting represents an important step in the construction of a common space for the defense of the interests of the Valencian cultural sector. From Econcult, we consider this type of initiative to be fundamental, which contributes to strengthening the cultural fabric of our territory and positioning it as a key agent in social and economic development.
