Ángel Soler Guillén holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Valencia. From 1996 to 2019, he served as a research technician at the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (Ivie), and from 2010 to 2019, he was an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Economic Structure at the University of Valencia. He is currently an Associate Researcher at Ivie, tenured professor in the Department of Applied Economics, and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia. He also serves as Director of the Statistical Portal on the Social Economy (CIRIECSTAT). He has participated in several international research projects, including EUKLEMS, SPINTAN, INDICSER, and EISMEA. His main fields of specialization include economics of education, labour market analysis, migration, and the social economy. He is the author of more than one hundred books and book chapters, as well as twenty-two articles published in national and international scientific journals. |

Doctor in Economics and tenured university professor of the department of Applied Economics (Political Economy Teaching Unit). He currently directs the POLAR (Policies, Actors, and Globalization) Research Group at the University of Valencia. His areas of scientific interest are: international economic policy; economic policy evaluation; creativity in economics teaching; and art and economics. He has participated in several competitive research projects supported by national (Ministry) and international institutions (European Union and United Nations). He has over 100 publications among articles, book and book chapters. Also, he has carried out research stays in several universities and European research centres, such as the Centre for the Study of Industrialisation Modes (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris) or the Nucleus of Research for Political Science and International Relations of Portugal, among others. Her academic career combines research, teaching, internationalisation, and university management, with a particular specialisation in economic policy, comparative analysis, governance, and circular economy. She has also been awarded a six-year research assessment period (sexenio de investigación), recognised from 2025. Her research activity has been developed within both national and international competitive projects. She is currently a member of the research team of the project Impulsando la Gestión de Activos Inmobiliarios Públicos: un estudio multidisciplinar de ciudades españolas (2025–2029), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities under the 2024 call for Knowledge Generation Projects, within the Non-Oriented Research scheme. She also participates in the European project CULT.T. Culture and Technology (2024–2026), funded by the European Commission, and was previously a member of the project MESOC: Measuring the Social Dimension of Culture (2020–2023), likewise funded by the European Commission and focused on measuring the social impact of culture. In addition, she participated in the INNOVAGEN project (2022–2024), funded by the University of Valencia, aimed at incorporating and updating the gender perspective in university teaching. In earlier stages of her career, her research profile was consolidated through participation in R&D projects related to economic analysis, productivity, regional heterogeneity, and economic growth, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Education and Science. This trajectory demonstrates sustained research continuity and long-standing integration into competitive research teams. Her academic profile has been further strengthened through research and teaching stays at prestigious European and Latin American universities, including the University of Nottingham (2017), the University of Liverpool (2016), the University of Würzburg (2011), Universidad EAFIT (2023), the University of Sonora (2018–2019), and the University of Concepción (2018).
