Impartiality, Independence, conflicts of interests and recusals
The members of CEIHUV are impartial and fair in the exercise of their duties. The conflicts of interests are the following:
- They have a personal interest in the issue that is being addressed or any other resolution that could influence their decisions.
- They are related to any of the applicants within the fourth degree of consanguinity and the second of affinity.
- They are friend or enemies to any of the applicants.
- They have a service relationship with the members of the project or they have provided them professional services in the last 2 years.
- They have a direct relationship with the research activity that must be assessed. In this case, the affected individual will not receive any documentation, will not be present during the assessment nor will take part in the deliberation or the configuration of the report.
Confidentiality
All the members of CEIHUV must guarantee the confidentiality of all the documents and the deliberations. In the case of CEIHUV, breaking the confidentiality clause means cessation.
