Results of the audiovisual mediation workshop. Alaquás Castle
“The layers of memory.” Audio-visual Mediation Workshop result
The Cinema Club of the Universitat de València, with UV Heritage and The Cinema Academy, present the conclusion act of the Audio-visual Mediation Workshop ‘Las capas de la memoria’ (The layers of memory), a training proposal aimed to university students, in the framework of the Summer Campus of The Cinema Academy.
During the workshop, done between the 5 May and 19 June 2025, the selected students have worked hand in hand with known firlmmaker like Nuria Giménez Lorang and Sergio Oksman, exploring the use of audiovisual language as a tool ofr social mediation and the recovery of collective memory.
The project is centered in the creation of audiovidual pieces from graphic materials rescued after the DANA 2024, in the initiative “Saved the photos” lead by UV heritage.
In this open session, will be shown the audiovisual works made by the participant students, that reflect their view of memory, identity, and reconstruction of the emotional and visual heritage in the affected zones.
