The AlumniUV Collective will visit ‘The other Falles’ on Monday 16 March

  • March 2nd, 2020
Falla Ripalda, Beneficiencia and San Ramón

On Monday 16 March, the AlumniUV Collective will visit ‘The other Falles’, a group of modest monuments with a strong focus on design, ecology and social denunciation. A different way to approach this festivity by the hand of Gabriel Benavides. Registration open on 2 March. Remember to mention that you are part of the Alumni UV Collective; make your reservation via website: www.fil-per-randa.com.

At some point where the old metaphysical debate about what we understand as art is born, we find this route in which we will see falles, most of them modest. In this route, we will see falles that share some artistic elements that differ from the most traditional ones, and, on the other hand, maintain the original spirit of the festivity. They continue to be the main axis of the festival and their characteristics are design, ecology, social denunciation and/or the encouragement for reflection. But they all share something in common that defines them as falles, and that is, of course, the ephemerality.

Gathering at 10 a.m. at the Plaça dels Furs (Serrans Gate). We will make a faller tour of the most outstanding monuments that, year after year, bet on an alternative, critical and ecological type of falles.

The price of the visit is €15, lunch included. Remember to always carry your Alumni Card. In all tours and visits, if the entrance tickets must be paid, it means that they are not included in the price.
