L’Horta de Valencia Chair and the Chair of Citizen Participation and Valencian Landscapes are organising the Conference "How to build infrastructures (or not?) in the Historical the Historical Irrigated Areas (Hortes)". An activity that will take place on Wednesday 13th November in La Nau (Seminar Room).

The aim of this conference is to talk about and debate the alterations and impacts that have taken place in the Historic “Hortes” as a result of urban growth, and because of the construction of the first large public works and infrastructures. How the logic of road and rail design has not so far taken into account the organicity of the irrigated Valencian landscape. How new layouts continue to be proposed which will once again fragment the Horta of Valencia and the others, but also how the procedure for the approval of these infrastructures is, and how it could be rethought with an evaluation of the impact on our historic landscapes.
