Born in Valencia (1978). Professor of Moral Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. Graduate in Ecclesiastical Studies from the Faculty of Theology 'San Vicente Ferrer' in Valencia. Graduate in Classical Philology and graduate and PhD in Philosophy from Universitat de València, with extraordinary award of doctorate. He obtained a second PhD in Philosophy from University of Bologna. His research addresses issues related to moral philosophy, political philosophy and social philosophy, classical philosophy and contemporary hermeneutics, philosophy of the art of living, philosophies of the world, the relationships between philosophy and literature, Aristotle and Nietzsche. He belongs to the research group ETIDEMO (Applied Ethics and Democracy). He is the author of various books, book chapters and articles in national and foreign scientific journals. He has participated in more than ten national and international research projects, among which stand out the Knowledge Generation-2021 project ‘Conflictos armados y crisis humanitarias: las humanidades y ciencias sociales ante los desafíos de la seguridad multidimensional’ (Armed conflicts and humanitarian crises: the humanities and social sciences facing the challenges of multidimensional security) (MCI) and two projects in the Prometeo programme. He supervised seven PhD theses, five of which have the international PhD mention. He has carried out research stays in centers of recognized international prestige in Paris, Turin, Bologna, Freiburg, Mainz, Stockholm, Geneva, Oxford, Washington, Boston and Mexico City. He has been fellow of the Royal College of Spain and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has recognized three six-year research periods. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Castellón and Valencia Section of the Spanish Society of Classical Studies (SEEC). At the Universitat de València he is the director of the Department of Philosophy since 2019 and coordinator of the Itinerary in Philosophy and the Advanced Studies Course in Thought and Culture of Classical Antiquity (ANCLA) of the La Nau Gran University Programme. He's been teaching in undergraduate and official master's degrees, as well as numerous university extension courses, at the Universitat de València and at other Spanish and international universities. He took part of numerous teaching innovation projects, among them stands out Ethos Living Lab - Ethics and Professions, led by the Universitat de València. Likewise, he has led cooperation projects that have resulted in different publications. He has also participated in conferences and workshops of a teaching nature, and in programmes of revitalization and improvement of teaching. He has recognized four five-year teaching periods, highlighting the Excellent grade of the advanced level in the last evaluated period. He has been evaluator of the Erasmus+, Turing Scheme, COST, ENI CBC Med, EACEA, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programmes. |

Marina García-Granero Gascó is an Assistant Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Valencia. She has been a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven in Belgium, where she worked as a member of the European Project "Homo Mimeticus." She received her Ph.D in Philosophy from the University of Valencia (Extraordinary Doctorate Award) for a thesis on Nietzsche's concept of “breeding” or “cultivation” (Züchtung), which Prof. Jesús Conill directed. She has been a visiting researcher at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris, the University of Salento in Italy, and the Institute of Philosophy. Her areas of research and teaching are Nietzschean philosophy, moral philosophy, and feminist philosophy. On these topics, she has published in leading Spanish-speaking magazines, such as Isegoría, Daimon, Estudios Nietzsche, Ideas y Valores, and Logos, among others. Additionally, she is a member of several research groups and societies dedicated to Nietzsche, such as the Friedrich Nietzsche Society (UK), the International HyperNietzsche Group, and the Groupe International de Recherches sur Nietzsche (GIRN). |

Degree and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Valencia with Extraordinary Doctorate Award and European Doctor Degree. He has carried out research stays at the Freie Universität (Berlin, Germany), Eberhard Karls University (Tübingen, Germany) Northwestern University (Evanston, USA), Oxford University (England), Johannes Gutenberg Universität (Mainz, Germany), University of Cambridge ( England) and Universidade Nova (Lisbon). He has received scholarships from the Spanish Ministry of Education, the University of Valencia and the DAAD. He is Senior Lecturer of Moral, Political and Social Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Valencia. For 8 years he was a tenured professor of Philosophy of Secondary Education. IN the past he also was FPU research fellow of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at University of Valencia. He is coordinating professor of the Philosophy in the Master in Secondary Education Teacher at the University of Valencia. Since 2009 he has also been professor of the Master in Ethics and Democracy and of the doctoral program in Ethics and Democracy. Since 2017, he has been visiting professor of the doctoral program in educational sciences at the Technological University of Pereira in Colombia. Since 2004 he has been a collaborating professor at the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana, in which he has taught the subject of Ethics of Organizations and Police Ethics to police officers and chiefs. He has directed 2 doctoral thesis, 40 Final Master's Thesis and numerous Final Degree Projects. He has participated as a Member in several research projects of the Spanish Ministry, the Generalitat Valencia and as a principal investigator in research projects of the University of Valencia. He has also been the principal investigator of several educational innovation projects and in these moments he is the coordinator of the international network of educational innovation in Philosophy. His main lines of research are critical hermeneutics, Spanish philosophy, applied ethics, intercultural ethics, police ethics, ethical keys for human training and education in a pluralistic and democratic society, educational innovation in ethics and philosophy, neuroethics and ethics for artificial intelligence. |

Biography | ||
Professor of Ethics and Political Philosophy at the University of Valencia. His latest published books are: La tragedia griega y los mitos democráticos; Biblioteca Nueva, 2011; Notas y contranotas para una Estética Teatral. Aportaciones de la escena al pensamiento contemporáneo; Artez Blay, 2016 (VII International Research Award “Artez Blai”), y Las contradicciones culturales del capitalismo en el siglo XXI; Biblioteca Nueva, 2017 (in co-authorship with Ana Noguera). Regarding the didactic field, he is a member of the Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations (Universitat de València). He has carried out research stays at the Tor Vergata University in Rome, and at the University of Bologna. His current lines of research are about media and democracy, the relationship between politics and aesthetics, and contemporary political philosophy. |
