Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Valencia. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from this university in 1992. He has regularly spent time in Los Angeles (UCLA), Paris (Université Pierre et Marie Curie), Marseille (École Centrale Marseille). He has authored 3 books. He has published over 40 research articles with more than 25 co-authors in leading international journals on Applied Mathematics. He has directed 6 doctoral theses. His current interests are in Multiresolution Analysis based on nonlinear techniques and their applications. |

Antonio Baeza is assistant professor in the applied mathematics area of the mathematics department of the University of Valencia. He has a Degree and PhD in mathematics and works at the ANIMS (Numerical Analysis, of Images, Multiresolution and Simulation) research group. His works deals with mathematical modeling, computaitonal fluid dynamics and multiresolution analysis. He previously worked on image processing and computer vision at the image group of the Eurecat research center and in problems related to optimal shape design applied to aeronautics, in various positions. |

Degree in Mathematics and Doctor in Astrophysics in the University of Valencia (2009). Postdoctoral researcher in the Max-Planck Institute of Astrophysics in Garching (Munich, Germany) and the Observatory of Paris-Meudon (Paris, France). Visiting researcher in the Universities of Liege and Namur in Belgium. Currently, I am Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Valencia, Applied Mathematics section. I combine my teaching duties with a research activity in the fiels of applied mathematics and astrophysics, with special interest in numerical relativity and gravitational waves. I am member of the Virgo Collaboration in Valencia (Spain), where I coordinate outreach and communication activities. I am member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Physics Communications and part of the Executive Board of the Spanish Society of Relativity and Gravitation. I also have an active involvement in projects with undergraduate students from different degrees, and I devote time and ilusion to a lot of science outreach activities, including being an active member of the local association Sapiencia. |

B.Sc. in Mathematics (2013) and in Computer Science (2014) from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), in Juiz de Fora - MG, Brazil. In addition, M.Sc. in Mathematics (2016) from the Instituto de Matemática of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in Rio de Janeiro - RJ, Brazil. These studies led him to obtain a doctorate (2020) at the Facultat de Matemàtiques i Informàtica of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), under the supervision of Àngel Jorba, with the thesis entitled "On the Dynamics around the Collinear Points in the Sun-Jupiter System". Currently (since October 2024) he works as an Assistant (Tenure-Track) Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor, in Spanish) in the Departament de Matemàtiques of the Universitat de València (UV). Likewise, he has extensive teaching experience at the university level: he worked as an instructor at both UFJF (Oct 2013 - Feb 2014) and UFRJ (Mar 2016 - Nov 2016), he was a teaching assistant at UB (Oct 2017 - May 2019), and director of 7 master's thesis and member of the jury of more than 60 at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). (Apr 2020 - Nov 2022). At the research level, prior to joining as a Profesor Ayudante Doctor at UV, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics (Jul 2020 - Jun 2022) of the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGHUST), in Kraków, Poland, in the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Aerospaziale (Feb 2023 - Jan 2024) at the Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo) and in the Dipartimento di Matematica "Giuseppe Peano" (Mar 2024 - Oct 2024) at the Università di Torino (UniTo), both in Turin, Italy. She has also completed two master's degrees: a Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teaching, specialising in Mathematics (UV), in 2023, and a Master's Degree in Computational Mathematics (UJI), in 2024. His research focuses on signal and image processing using multiresolution techniques; the analysis of subdivision schemes and their properties; and the design of linear and non-linear interpolants and approximants, as well as their applications. Francisco Guerrero Cortina is a tenured lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the University of Valencia. He obtained his PhD in Theoretical Physics from this university in 1998. He worked at a private university from 1998 to 2010. In 2010, he joined the University of Valencia as an assistant lecturer. After conducting research on mathematical models based on partial differential equations applied to various physical situations, he obtained a tenured position as a lecturer in 2015.

After graduating in Mathematics from the University of Valencia in 2006 and completing a Master’s in Computational Mathematics at the Universitat Jaume I, in 2007 she was hired by IMDEA Mathematics as a researcher in Computational Geometry. In 2008 she began her PhD at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where she worked on geometric constraint problems under the supervision of Dr. Robert Joan-Arinyo. During her thesis, she completed a research stay at the Université de Bourgogne. In 2013 she applied her knowledge to bioinformatics and joined the Computational Genomics Department at the Prince Felipe Research Center (CIPF) as a postdoctoral researcher, under the direction of Dr. Joaquín Dopazo. She specialized in signaling and metabolic networks, developing methods for the functional analysis of transcriptomic data. She led the Hipathia project, resulting in numerous high-impact publications. Between 2018 and 2024, she worked in the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Unit and the Computational Biomedicine Laboratory at CIPF, led by Dr. Francisco García, focusing on strategies to characterize sex differences in biomedical contexts. Since January 2024, she has been an Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Valencia. |

Pep Mulet Mestre is professor of Applied Mathematics at the Universitat de València. He got the Philosophical Degree in Mathematics by this university in 1992. He performed a postdoctoral stay at UCLA during 1995-96, where he got initiated in the research in image processing by partial differential equations. His present research interests is the mathematical modelling based on partial differential equations and its efficient numerical simulation. |

Since I finished my studies in mathematics in 1994, I began the doctoral courses in statistics and in the years 1996-1997 where I achieved research sufficiency and went as a speaker at different congresses in Spain and the USA. Then I began my work as a teacher in Barcelona and Valencia until the present time teaching in mathematics and in CFGS of Computer Science. In 2023 I resumed the thesis but in the specialty of applied mathematics with attendance and presentations at different national and international congresses and at the same time participating in the preparation of different research articles. |
