New book: ‘Debates and perspectives on the rights of nature. A lecture from the Mediterranean’

This publication brings together the papers presented at the II International Congress, “The Rights of Nature and the Fight against Climate Change in the Mediterranean,” held at the Faculty of Law on 28 and 29 June.

The 2nd ever International Congress gathered a large number of experts to discuss how climate change can be fought form the field of law. The meeting, with more than 200 online attendees, brought about interesting contributions that are now compiled in one book titled, 'Debates and Perspectives on the Rights of Nature. A lecture from the Mediterranean’.

The volume is an academic contribution from Mediterranean experts to the re-evaluation of the relationship between humans and nature. The works are framed within an ecocentric vision of our life on planet Earth, but contain the necessary critical and analytical capacity to confront a huge problem with many dimensions.

The editors of this issue are Rubén Martínez Dalmau, Professor of Constitutional Law and member of the Democracy[+] research group on Constituent Power and New Constitutionalism, and Aurora Pedro Bueno, Professor of Applied Economics and Director of the Chair for a New Green Transition of the UV.
