Lucía Bellés Calvera publishes two studies on metadiscourse in educational and academic contexts with Peter Lang, one co-authored with Begoña Bellés Fortuño.
Lucía Bellés Calvera, Assistant Professor in the Department of English and German Studies at the Universitat de València and member of the TeLL-ME research group, has published two chapters in the volume Corpus-based Studies in Specialized Discourses, published by Peter Lang.
The first book chapter, Metadiscourse Patterns in Research Articles: Disciplinary and Cross-cultural Variations of Engagement Markers, is co-authored with Begoña Bellés Fortuño, researcher in the SPARK group at Universitat Jaume I, and explores disciplinary and cross-cultural variation in engagement markers in research articles. In the second book chapter, Metadiscourse in Classroom Discourse: An Analysis of Interactive Markers in CLIL Seminars, Lucía Bellés examines the use of metadiscursive markers in CLIL educational contexts, providing insights into discourse strategies in the classroom.
These contributions strengthen research in applied linguistics and academic discourse analysis, consolidating key lines of work on metadiscourse.
