Description

This educational innovation project aims to improve English language learning through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates courses from the BA in English Studies and the TADE degree. The proposal incorporates artificial intelligence tools to enhance both written and oral expression, providing immediate feedback, grammatical correction, stylistic improvements, and vocabulary expansion. Students work with a range of academic and professional genres, supported by a personalized learning approach tailored to their needs. The project also includes an evaluation of its impact based on academic results and student perceptions, with the aim of optimizing teaching methodology and strengthening linguistic competences.

This project specifically focuses on analyzing the impact of the effective integration of AI-based technologies in the teaching of written expression in foreign languages. In the current context, marked by the consolidation of generative tools as essential educational resources, their pedagogical incorporation is seen as necessary, while acknowledging the lack of rigorous methodological studies assessing their real effectiveness, particularly in the medium term and with comparative designs.

The proposal includes a pilot study over one semester involving students from different academic years and degree programs. This will allow for the comparison of results before and after the implementation of AI tools, as well as the analysis of student perceptions. Specific objectives include designing activities aimed at improving coherence, cohesion, and the use of academic vocabulary; fostering learner autonomy; examining the motivational impact of AI; and promoting critical thinking regarding the use of these technologies.
