"La mente en acción [Working Mind]" will be presented to the public on 24 March at 12:00pm. The event will take place at the Graduate Hall and will be attended by Mª. Ángeles Cerezo, Full-time university professor of Basic Psychology of the UV; Antonio M. Ferrer Manchón, dean of the Faculty of Psychology of the UV; Francisco Alcantud-Marín, Full-time university professor of Developmental Psychology and Education and translator of the book; and the two authors Juan Pascual-Leone y Janice M. Johnson.

This essay, written in first person by the authors who have lived with their informants –which allows the use of familiar expressions not usual in scientific literature–, proposes a general theory organism-cause that explains the development of the working memory and the executive function, and, while doing so, clarifies the nature of the human intelligence. Pascual-Leone y Johnson explain “desde dentro [from inside]” (from the processing perspective of the subject) the phases of the cognitive development, describing key cause factors that can explain the emergency in the operative mind as a functional complete unit.
