Since it was founded in 1499, The University of Valencia has always been characterised by a strong European spirit. In this new millennium, the European Higher Education Area has emerged, further strengthening the UV’s firm commitment to internationalisation and plurilingualism. At the same time the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages establishes a common denominator for learning, language teaching and assessment.

The Language Centre of the University of Valencia was born out of this context in 2001. Open to all. Open to the world. Our aim: to offer not only the university community but also the general public the highest quality language teaching possible, which a team of teachers mainly made up of native speakers and in the best possible facilities.

In our constant search for excellence, we are part of ACLES and organise two exams per year, one in June and another in September, to offer the opportunity to obtain an official PACLE certificate in B1, B2 and C1 English (with the CertAcles seal) and B2 German and French.

In addition, in close collaboration with the International Relations Service, we offer specific training for both UV students who study abroad and international students who study at the UV. Through the Languages Service, we also offer substantial discounts to the entire university community (UV students, services and administrative staff (PAS), teaching and research staff (PDI) and research staff in training (PIF).

We have a wide range of Services in a centre with 20 classrooms equipped with the latest technology, versatile and multipurpose spaces and a conference room seating 100 people, also open for the organisation of all types of cultural and business events.
