Pedro Morillo received the M.S. degree (1998) in Computer Engineering from the University of Valencia (Spain) and the Ph.D. (2004), from the same university, with a dissertation about "Improving the Performance in Distributed Virtual Environments", receiving the Doctoral School PhD Extraordinary Award. Currently, Dr. Morillo is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science, at the University of Valencia (Spain). Furthermore, his research addresses distributed VR/AR environments systems, advanced human-system interfaces, and the Multimodal Man-machine Interface (MMI) for telemedicine and industrial applications. He served also as Visiting Scientist at Iowa State University (Ames, IA, USA) in 2004, University of Louisiana (Lafayette, LA, USA) in 2006, CAU Chung-Ang University University (Seoul, Korea) in 2009 and University of Arkansas (Little Rock, AR, USA) in 2017, where he maintains a research affiliation. From 2015 to the present, he holds different university positions related to the promotion and management of studies, as well as the institutional online strategy. |

Graduated in History from the University of Valencia in 2005 and Master in Public Management from the San Vicente Ferrer Catholic University. He has developed his professional career in the private sector for 16 years in sales management positions. Since 2021 he has been part of the management team of the Language Centre of the University of Valencia as head of studies and quality. |
