Diciembre Europeo 2025 celebrates its 11th edition btween 1 and 20 December under the motto 'Memory and Future of Europe. 40 years of spain in the EU'; Radio Malva 104.9 FM will offer the space ‘The Great European Songbook’ ('Cancionero de la Unión Europea') on 2, at 7:00 p.m.

The Great European Songbook is a 164 song compendium: six for each of the States that are members of other categories, a British song and a EU anthem. All of these songs have chords and the lyrics are translated into the 25 original languages (in 3 different alphabets) along with a 'Singable European English' version made by specialised translators of each country.

For Spain, the selected songs are: ‘Si tú no estás aquí’ (1996), by Rosana Arbelo, for 'love songs' category; Joan Manuel Serrat appears in two segments with ‘Mediterráneo’ (1971) for the 'nature and seasons' category, and ‘La saeta’ (1969), based on an Antonio Machado poem for 'faith and spirituality songs' category.
