You can design small exercises to solve in class: concept maps, short group presentations, quizzes and questionnaires.

  • Concept maps. They allow knowledge to be organised and represented in a very graphic way and are a very useful study technique, as students have to relate directly to the concepts, make associations and not simply be passive recipients of information.
  • Short group presentations. The preparation of a presentation to classmates of a content will be useful not only for the acquisition of knowledge, but also for the development of transversal competences included in the teaching guide of the subject.
  • Games. There are many ways to gamify an activity. A very simple one is through Kahoot: a free tool that allows online questionnaires to be carried out. Its moderate use is motivating for students, both for the gamification it involves and for the self-assessment component it has. As in the case of questionnaires, it allows interaction between teachers and students to address what has not been learnt.
  • Quizzes. The Moodle quizzes module allows for the programming of small exercises in class that can be commented on after they have been completed.
