Based on Problem and Project Based Learning, we can propose as activities or tasks the resolution of cases, simulation exercises, problems... These are activities aimed at active learning.

  • Project-based learning. It is a strategy that develops self-directed learning, posing contextualised questions for which decisions have to be made on the basis of their knowledge, resources, research, reflection and active cooperation. Contextualisation gives authenticity to the task, making it more meaningful.
  • Case studies. This is an active, student-centred learning methodology. A case or dilemma contextualised in an authentic situation is presented; multiple situations can be used to provide elements and knowledge that will actually be put into practice later in the professional world. With supporting data provided by the teaching staff, they have to solve it in groups or individually.
  • Simulation. Allows students to demonstrate what they have learned. To be effective, they must be real-world situations and can be designed so that several students have to work together to solve them. In the health branch, it is planned to carry out simulations at the CSIS (Centre for Integral Simulation) in which students from the five health degrees (medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy and psychology) will have to participate at the same time..
