Cryopreservation is the process of freezing cells in cryovials and then maintaining them in suitable containers to ensure optimal thawing.
Services
- Storage of cryovials in -80ºC freezers for a maximum period of 1 year.
- Storage of cryovials in liquid nitrogen tanks, which maintain a temperature of -196ºC, for as long as the user deems necessary.
- Control of maintenance and level of liquid nitrogen in the tanks.
- Control of the storage of the cryovials by means of a cryovial management programme, always supervised by the technicians, who record the inputs and outputs.
- Users will be able to:
- Own a cell line depot to supply their needs.
- Access online to the cryovial management programme, by means of a personal password, to check their cell line depot at any time.
- Cryovials will be available to users whenever they need them, within the established timetable and 24 hours after applying.
