Verdi and Estellés year's commemoration

The University of Valencia Choral Society, sets an eclectic programming which will commemorate Verdi and Estellés years. Paying attention to the nature of this programming, the concert is divided in four parts or microconcerts, and each one deals with a different thematic area, according to its conductor Francesc Valldecabres. "it is important to open the concert with Puccini's Requiem, conceived to pay homage to Verdi, as well as the last part, which we have titled "Viva Verdi!", dedicated entirely to the Italian composer's work", he adds.

"Creencias modernas" (Modern beliefs) is the first microconcert's synopsis with Puccini, Wilan, Stravinsky and McGlynn pieces. The second one commemorates the "Estellés Year" and it is titled ‘Hi ha paraules que diuen alguna cosa encara” (There are words that still mean something" and includes the interpretation of the Amadeu Vives, Matilde Salvador, Josed Vila and Luis Blanes work. "Bien lejos, bien cerca" (so far, so close) is the name of the third microconcert which the University's Choral Society will dedicate to Piazzolla's and Marcos Leite's tangos.
